Notes and Acknowledgements

This is an online version of The Legacy of Robert M. Gagné (Richey, 2000). The original volume was edited by Rita C. Richey (Professor and Program Coordinator, Distinguished Research Fellow, Institute for Learning and Performance Improvement, Instructional Technology, Wayne State University) and published jointly by The ERIC Clearinghouse on Information & Technology (http://www.ericit.org) and the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (http://www.ibstpi.org). The content remains unchanged although page numbering has not been retained; the original page numbers are reflected in header sections. ERIC-IT and ibstpi® have supported this effort as part of a tribute in honor of Robert M. Gagné (1916-2002). Nicole Schmidt, Publications Manager at ERIC-IT, provided original source files from the ERIC-IT archives. Michael Spector, Professor of Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation at Syracuse University, transformed the original source files into editable formats. Janet Morgan, a former ibstpi® Fellowship awardee and doctoral student at Syracuse University, recreated the figures and tables. Min Ji, a doctoral student at Syracuse University, integrated the redrawn figures and original images from the book into downloadable PDF files. The original volume can be ordered through the ERIC Clearinghouse on Information & Technology - http://www.ericit.org.
